Consignment is the best way to go after a death in the family:

Why? Because you may change your mind about an item or two and want it back. Because you may be tempted to sell for the first available offer, and how will you know if you are being ripped off? You can hire us to move everything at once if you need to, or bring just some pieces here at the store.

We carefully check on current values and prices and if you want to be involved in pricing, you can! We typically consign items for an entire year.

It is surprising how many things a person has that is a hot collectible item, even though it doesn’t seem collectible or valuable at all! We will separate items into trash, rummage, and consignment items. Items consigned can be cleaned and small repairs made to make it more saleable. We do charge a small fee for this cleaning/repairing service.

Kay's Attic Store Policy

Please help us be efficient and save yourself some extra work. We do not have time to handle unusable items, so please do not bring items that do not meet these guidelines. They will be returned. Clothing consignments cannot be more than 2-3 years old unless vintage, and must be freshly washed, dry-cleaned and ironed. There are to be no stains, holes, broken zippers, missing buttons, pet hair, nor should the fabric be too worn. Shoes and household items must be clean and dust free. We do not accept rummage sale leftovers, bedding, curtains, curtain rods and books at this time. Spring-summer clothing is accepted March-July. Winter clothing is accepted August-January. Kay’s Attic will price the items at reasonable prices based on similar sales on EBay adjusted for the local area.
